HT18 1.8 Ton Mini Excavator – Built for Tight Access and Deep Digging

The HT18 is a 1.8-ton mini excavator designed for small contractors, landscapers, farm owners, and rental companies. With a 1100mm overall width and 990mm upper width, it fits through standard gates and narrow passages where larger machines cannot go. The 790mm tail turning radius and 1711mm minimum turning radius let you work close to walls, fences, and foundations without constant repositioning.

Where the HT18 Performs Best

  • Landscaping — trenching, soil preparation, and garden renovation
  • Farm maintenance — irrigation trenches, drainage ditches, and orchard work
  • Municipal engineering — utility trenching, pipeline preparation, and sidewalk repair
  • Residential construction — foundation footings, small excavation, and site preparation
  • Indoor work — basement and interior renovation with low-emission engine options

Hydraulic Pilot Controls and Boom Swing

The HT18 uses hydraulic pilot controls for smooth, precise operation — less arm fatigue on long shifts. Boom swing (75° left / 45° right) lets you dig parallel to walls and obstacles without turning the tracks. Combined with the 360° swing, this machine works efficiently in confined spaces.

Kubota D722 or KOOP Engine Options

The HT18 is available with Kubota D722 or KOOP 292 engine options, with power output of 10.2KW / 14KW. For buyers in North America and Europe, EURO 5, EPA, CE, and ISO certified configurations are available. Tell us your destination country and we will configure the engine to meet your local emission regulations.

Full Customization for OEM and ODM Buyers

We support full customization: RAL color code, engine brand, emission standard, logo, retractable track, and closed cabin. Whether you are a dealer, rental company, or contractor, we can configure the HT18 to meet your market requirements. Minimum order quantity for custom colors is 1 unit.

Export Support for Global Buyers

For overseas buyers, Hightop provides configuration support, spare parts assistance, emission compliance guidance, and shipping coordination. We handle biosecurity cleaning, container loading, and customs documentation. The machine arrives ready to work, not a pile of paperwork to sort through.

What's the advantage of hydraulic pilot controls over standard cable controls?
Hydraulic pilot controls use hydraulic pressure to send commands, so the joysticks are lighter, smoother, and more precise. You can make fine adjustments around pipes, foundations, and walls without fighting the machine. Standard cable controls are stiffer and more tiring over a long shift — pilot controls reduce operator fatigue and improve work quality.
What does boom swing actually do on a job site?
Boom swing lets the arm move 75° left and 45° right without turning the tracks. That means you can dig parallel to a wall, work around a tree or fence, and load a trailer without repositioning the machine every few minutes. On tight residential and orchard jobs, this saves a lot of time and fuel.
Should I choose the roof version or the cab version?
The roof version is lighter, simpler, and easier to maintain — ideal for warm climates and budget-focused buyers. The cab version adds weather protection, dust sealing, and better operator comfort for cold or rainy regions. Both versions share the same engine, hydraulics, and digging performance.
Kubota D722 or KOOP 292 — which engine should I choose?
Kubota D722 is the global standard for compact diesel engines — reliable cold starts, worldwide parts availability, and mechanics who know it. KOOP 292 costs less and suits budget-sensitive markets. If your country requires EURO 5 or EPA certification, we recommend the Kubota configuration — it's easier to certify for import.
